Girls, family members or other service providers are encouraged to contact Hera's Executive DIrector for information regarding intake. Following a brief discussion with the Executive Director regarding entrance criteria, the individual will be provided with the name of the Calgary Board of Education Area Specialist assigned to the girl. The girl, family member or service provider will be requested to contact the Area Specialist to ensure the girl's name comes forward at the next regularly scheduled placement meeting.

It is expected that girls and their families will participate in all mandatory components of the program. Parental involvement is recognized as one of the keys to success for the girls who participate at Hera. Parents and caregivers are expected to participate in the intake meetings, weekly in-home family support visits, and parent teacher interviews.
